We love finding simple ideas for family nights. Activities that are not too expensive and don’t take more than an hour to two. (We like to protect the kids bedtime as much as possible!).
A favorite spot for us is Mozzicato’s, an Italian bakery and cafe in the south end of Hartford (they made our wedding cake!). We’ve been frequent visitors since we got married and now our oldest son can finally enjoy some treats with us!
This last weekend, hubby and I got ourcustomary cappuccino (decaf for me, which the barista always gently mocks as, “for the baby!”).
Tough choices between gelato and tiramisu for me! But our little boy knew exactly what he wanted: the colorful Italian seven layer cookies. He was enamored with their bright colors (they are delicious with their chocolate coating and apricot jam filling.
Our baby loved the lighted cake display case and decor and being in a new place.
Coffee, cookies, just a simple night out with the family. That’s what we like to do!
I even got to dress up in a lovely tunic top sent to me by Tea Collection (one of my favorite children’s wear brands!). The African Lily asymmetrical tunic is stylish, with a bold, interesting print. The side shirring creates asymmetry, and the soft fabric drapes so nicely! I’d love to add more pieces from the Tea women’s collection to my wardrobe.
Where do you enjoy taking your kids for family night?
Thanks to Tea Collection for sending an item for review. All opinions are 100% my own.
